James Cody Stearns, age 30, a resident of Aberdeen, died on May 18, 2021, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. Cody was born on Sept. 21, 1990, in Aberdeen. He was raised in Hoquiam and attended schools in Hoquiam and Aberdeen.
After school, he worked in logging and construction. He loved anything outdoors: hunting, fishing with his brother Cole, quads, hound hunting and family barbecues. His passions were being a father, riding and racing his jet skis with his dad and riding quads at the sand dunes, circle track and drag racing with family. His number one passion was his ability to teach himself to master riding his GSXR1000.
Surviving relatives include his father, Ed Stearns (Karla) of Hoquiam; mother, Tina M. Stearns (Shawn Baker) of Aberdeen; daughter Kamryn Stearns of Ocean Shores; brother, Cole Stearns (Ashlee) of Elma; three sisters: Elizabeth, Amber and Chyanne; grandparents: Ken and Vicki Stearns of Hoquiam, Jean Elliott of Ocean Shores, and Frank and Cori Ferguson of Utah; and two aunts: Valerie Boles (Kevin Smathers) of Glenoma, Washington and Debra Chapin of Aberdeen. The extended family includes numerous uncles, aunts and four cousins: Bo Chapin (Natasha) of Aberdeen, Seth Stolen (Ariel) of Hoquiam, Tyler Stolen of Hoquiam and Chandler Boles of Glenoma.
Cody was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, his aunt Nikki Stearns of Hoquiam and an uncle, Jed J. Boles of Chehalis.
A celebration of life of James Cody Stearns will be at the Elkhorn Ranch, 716 South Shore Road, Quinault, Washington on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m.
