Jack Andrew Barre passed away at his home in Aberdeen on April 25, 2025, at the age of 81.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1943, in Aberdeen to parents Francis “Frenchie” and Florence (Swingle) Barre.
He attended both Cosmopolis grade school and Weatherwax High School.
On April 8, 1998, he married Cindy Williams in Reno, Nevada.
Jack worked as a cable installer for many years. He was employed by several different companies during that time, including Cook, TCI and Comcast.
He took pleasure in a variety of hobbies, like hunting, fishing, panning for gold, cooking, camping, riding his motorcycle and watching NASCAR races and Seahawk games.
But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and those close to him.
Jack is survived by his wife Cindy (Williams) Barre; sons Eric Barre of Hoquiam, Andy (Tracy) Barre of Montesano, Adam (Shannon) Barre of Aberdeen and Steven (Stephanie) Lyle of Tacoma, and daughter Dawn (Jason) Hensley of Idaho. He is also survived by son Bret Tate of Vancouver, brother Rick Barre of Aberdeen, grandchildren: Tessa, Aliss, Hannah, Zack, Sophie, Jairek, Ariana, Megan, Madasonn and Leo, great-grandchildren: Fiona, Harold, Avery and Olivia; cousin John Swingle of Georgia and his faithful canine companion Trixie.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Florence (Swingle) Barre and his sister Renee Gransden.
