Ingrid Germeaux, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25, 2021, after an illness of the last few weeks. She has been a resident of Puyallup, Washington, for the last 15 years.

Ingrid was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Jan. 24, 1935, to David and Helga Johnson. She was the sixth of seven children, and her father worked as a packer in a thread mill. She married the love of her life, Dexter Germeaux, Jan. 31, 1953, and raised four children in Aberdeen. He worked at a local mill, and she worked as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 25 years. They were married 65 years before his death in 2018.

Ingrid was also a member of the South Hill Christian Church in Puyallup, Washington.

She was devoted to her family and loved gardening. She will be greatly missed by all those that survive her; their children: Ron (Shelley), Rick (Nancy), Debbie (Jeanie) and Mike; one brother Gust Johnson; grandchildren: Natalie, Kristen Engen (Bryce), Shelby Mounce (Dorion), Brianna and Katelyn; step-grandchild David Foscue; great-grandchildren: Nate, Nicholas, Kate, Luke and Penelope; and step-great granddaughter Hailey Foscue.

Funeral services will take place May 15, 2021 at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen Washington, at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Fern Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held outdoors at Fern Hill Funeral Home.
