Donald “Jack” Inglin, 99, a longtime Raymond resident passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, peacefully in his Raymond home. He was born Feb 13, 1921 in Globe, Washington and attended school in Frances and Lebam, Washington.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Jorea “Jo” Inglin whom he married on May 10, 1952 and also brothers Kenneth Inglin and Elvin Inglin.

Jack fought in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Buckingham – APA 141 as Seaman First Class from 1943-1946.

He moved to Raymond in 1957 when he built the ‘house up on the hill’ where he and Jo happily lived for close to 60 years.

Jack spent his career working in the logging industry where he had a short stint with McCorkle Brothers and then Latimer/Georgia Pacific before landing at Weyerhaeuser where he worked from 1956-1983.

In retirement, Jack enjoyed tinkering around in his shop, fixing up old Chevy cars and showing them in parades. Jack and Jo were members of the Twin Harbors Antique Car Club for over 25 years. Together they spent a lot of time touring their 1931 Chevy in parades, car shows and going on road trips.

Jack also enjoyed meeting up with his long time friends for coffee every morning in downtown Raymond, very seldom missing a day.

Jack was a member of the Elks for the past 54 years and also a long standing member of The American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by a daughter, Duenna “Dina” Niver of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Steven Inglin of Orting, Washington; a granddaughter, Jonelle Marquis of Wilsonville, Oregon; a grandson, Tyler Inglin of Tacoma, Washington; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the many friends and neighbors that have been a part of Jack’s life over the years. Thank you for your friendship and support.

Please join us for an informal ‘open house’ style memorial service at Jack’s home on Sunday, May 31 from 12-3 p.m.
