Howard N. Beglinger of Montesano, Washington passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. He was 85 years old

Howard started working as a timber follower when he was 15 and worked until 1985 when he was crushed by a log and had to retire. He was a longtime Harbor resident who enjoyed spending time with family hunting, fishing and anything else that had to do with outdoors.

He was a dedicated AA member for 44 years. Included in that time he went to the prison 17 years to do AA meetings with the inmates. He also enjoyed playing in numerous pool leagues in the area.

Howard is survived by his significant other Beverly “Babe” Anderson, sister Wilma Ray, daughter Nora (Jim) Heppe, Cora (Raymond) Sasticum, Kathy (John) Jensen and Ida Beglinger, sons Mike Beglinger and Howard Beglinger Junior and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by brothers Louis and Gabe, sisters Susie and Margaret, mother Kate and father Gabriel.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
