Henry H. McGiveron 82, lost his battle with cancer on July 6, 2020.

Henry H. McGiveron 82, lost his battle with cancer on July 6, 2020. He was born to RB and Elvi McGiveron of the Wishkah Valley and he later graduated from high school there.

He worked for Evans Plywood for 25 years before moving to Port Angeles to work for K-Ply.

Henry enjoyed all the things the great Pacific Northwest offers; fishing, hunting, clamming, berry picking, fern and salal collecting.

He is survived by his sister Wanda Button of Iowa; his brother William of Aberdeen; and his wife of 37 years Gwyn who still resides in the family home in Port Angeles. Henry has three children with his first wife Alice; Alec, Ruth and Henry D., all of whom still reside on the Harbor. Together he and Gwyn have seven children: Gwyn’s four children; Beverly, Dawn, Francie and Frank; and their three children, Desirae, and twins Teresa and Blyth. They also adopted a grandson, Jesse. There are 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice and his brother Robert.

A small family gathering was held July 22, 2020 on the Wishkah to celebrate Henry’s life.
