With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Henry Brueher, who left us on February 26, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born in Aberdeen on September 27, 1939 to Arthur and Bertha Brueher.

Henry attended Weatherwax High School, graduating in 1957. He worked as a longshoreman until his retirement. Henry loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed spending time on his tree farm “out the Wishkah.”

Henry’s family was the most important thing in his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Brueher in 2015, with whom he raised three sons: Jerry Green, Jeff Green, and Sam Brueher.

In 2016 Henry made the excellent decision to marry his former classmate Mary Ellen Kelley, who made his last few years just the way he would want them to be. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to his sons. He delighted in his 15 grandchildren and had the honor ofhaving 20 great-grandchildren.

Hank is survived by two brothers and a sister: Bob, Doug, and Anne Cary. His youngest sister Gail passed in 2021.

We will remember Henry as a faithful, endearing, and tenderhearted man with a fun sense of humor.

He cheered for the underdog and made many lasting friends throughout his life. Henry will be forever missed but always remembered with love and fondness.
