Gladys passed away April 22, 2018, at her home. She was born April 10, 1932, in the Dalles, Ore. to Charles Hads and Thirza (Horne) Hads. They moved to Hoquiam when she was very young, and she went to Hoquiam schools, graduating from Hoquiam H.S.

She met her future husband, Donald R. Sellers, at the Harborena skating rink. They were married July 30, 1949. Donald went into the service and when he returned they moved to Aberdeen where they resided ever since, but Gladys always had a love for Hoquiam.

Gladys went to work at P.N.W. Bell in 1951 as an operator and later moved into the department where they did assignment, scheduling and repair. She worked there for 25 years until retiring due to ill health.

She was an avid reader and watched all Mariners and Seahawks games. She usually had a book in her lap while watching TV.

She is survived by Donald, her husband of 69 years, at the family home they moved into 62 years ago. She is also survived by her son Jeff Sellers (Beckey) and her daughter Judy Pickering (Larry). She had five grandchildren, Jessica Sellers, Ashley Scott, Todd Pickering, Brian Pickering, Michael Pickering (Mindy). Michael and Mindy cared for her in her final days so she could be at home. She also had three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. They all loved her cheerful attitude and the old fashioned sayings she liked to come up with.

She was predeceased by her parents and both brothers, Terry Hads and Jack Hads.

There will be no memorial at this time and instead of flowers remember her by donating to a local charity if you wish.
