Gerald Edward Amacher, 75, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022. Gerry was born Dec. 21, 1946, to Edwin and Elsie (Schapp) Amacher in Raymond, Washington.

Gerald Edward Amacher, 75, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022. Gerry was born Dec. 21, 1946, to Edwin and Elsie (Schapp) Amacher in Raymond, Washington. He grew up in East Raymond and attended Willapa Valley Elementary and graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1965. After high school he joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country for four years. After the service, he went to work for Weyerhaeuser and held various positions, until his logging accident in 1995 that ended his logging career.

Gerry married Sheila Schlott and they had three children, Aimee, Jessica and Scott. They later divorced. He later married Theresa Bowen. They were married for 35 years. Theresa had a son Jason.

Gerry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to be out in the woods, whether it was cutting a load of wood, looking for deer sheds, or looking for that perfect deer. He loved it. He also loved to be on the river fishing. He loved gathering with family and friends and having a good time.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Elsie. He is survived by Theresa of the family home, sister Peggy Kraft (Jim), daughters Aimee Amacher (Rob Taylor), Jessica Colburn (Kevin), sons, Scott Amacher (Kabria), Jason Degg (Shelley). Grandkids, Jordan, Tom, Brooke, Emmerson, Rilynn, Braeden, Trey, Lanissa, Alban, Ryan, and Varyk, great-grandchildren, Skylani, Grady, Jackson, Emma, and Ella. And niece Leslie Finfrock (Jason).

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Fern Hill Cemetery Menlo. Luncheon following at the Raymond Elks.
