Georgia Leea Dotson, 81, Aberdeen resident, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2023 at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, Washington.

Georgia was born on July 14, 1942, in Camden, West Virginia to Orbin and Flora (Carpenter) Fleming. She moved to Veneta, Oregon in 1963 and then to Aberdeen in 1973 where she has lived ever since.

She married Dennis Dotson in Mitchell Town, Virginia on June 24, 1960. They later divorced in 1976.

Georgia worked as a bartender for many years in the Aberdeen area. She also liked to paint home interiors. She loved to cook, and spending time with her grandchildren brought her great joy. Georgia always made room in her home for anyone who needed it.

Georgia is survived by her son Kevin Dotson (Carlene) of Oakville, Washington; her life partner, Gary Lutz of Aberdeen, nieces Carol Hutsell and Michaline Ledford (Roger), nephews Frank Fleming (Wendy) and Derek Moore (Kim), seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Kinkade and four siblings: John, Mancile, Carl and Christine.

There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
