Georgia Loutisia “Tish” Olson, passed away on Sept. 5, 2016 in Hoquiam, Wash

Georgia Loutisia “Tish” Olson, passed away on Sept. 5, 2016, in Hoquiam, Wash., where she was also born on Feb. 4, 1927, to Georgia and William Henry Hawkes.

Tish married Clarence “Kearney” Olson on March 30, 1944. They made their home in Aberdeen raising four children: Randy (who preceded her in death), Bill of Olympia, Cindy of Lakebay and Mark of Aberdeen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A brother William Hawkes preceded her in death.

Tish and Kearney were avid square dancers for many years belonging to the Harbor Haylofters and Wishkah Swingsters where they enjoyed the many friendships they made together. Tish was an active member of the Bench Drive homemakers and Y Auxiliary. She enjoyed volunteering at Feed the Hungry for many years. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker, mother and grandmother and often spoke of time spent with her grandchildren.

There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Friday, Sept. 16 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 at noon in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
