Well-known restaurateur and chef, George Belesiotis, passed peacefully at home in Newport, Oregon, surrounded by friends and family. Together George and his wife Helen, owned several businesses in Westport. They had Odysseus by the Grays Harbor Light House, George’s, and of course, Anthony’s, both in Westport’s Marina District.
George loved people and had an infectious laugh.
He is survived by Helen, three sisters, three children: Anthony, Natalie and Gregory; as well as three stepchildren: Gregory, Antonia and Katerina, and several grandchildren.
There was no one quite like George, and there will never be a more beloved chef, family man and friend.
