Gary was born in Heppner, Ore., on Feb. 4, 1947, and passed away Dec. 1, 2018. He moved to the Ocean City, Wash., in 1949 with his parents, Fred and Laura Lorenzen, and two brothers, Frank and Robert. After moving to South Aberdeen, he attended Aberdeen High School and graduated in 1965. Gary was a baker and worked in Aberdeen and Yakima before opening his own shop in Lebanon, Ore., and taught culinary arts at Portland Community College.

He is survived by his wife, Patty, and children, Gary Jr., Kristen and Stephany and grandchildren.
