Loving husband, father and grandfather, Gary Edgar Tatro, passed away on Jan. 14, 2022. He was born to Stewart Tatro and Ethel Macdonald on March 15, 1938 in Olympia, Washington. Gary was raised in Seattle and moved to the Aberdeen area in 1954. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1957. He also attended Grays Harbor College.

He went on to work in the sales department at Guardian Life Insurance.

On March 19, 1960, Gary married Barbara Arlene Erickson in Aberdeen, Washington. They were married for 61 wonderful years.

Gary was in the Marine Corps Reserves and was discharged in 1963.

He was a part of Heritage Family Church. He was an active member of the 20/30 Club, chair member for Soapbox Derby, as well as a part of the Jeep Club.

Gary enjoyed making burl clocks and end tables, loved all sporting events that his family was a part of and loved animals.

Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons Jeffery (Katy) Tatro of Aberdeen and Steven (Melanie)Tatro of Bellingham; daughter Carlene (Jerry) Large of Jacksonville, Florida; brother Jon (Debbie) Tatro Hico, Texas; sisters Gretchen (Charles) Atkinson of Shoreline, Suzi (Richard) Dwyer of Mukilteo and Jacqueline Tatro; and his grandchildren Skylar Tatro of Bellevue; and Britton and Chase Tatro of Bellingham. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Ethel.
