Gary Donald McCullough, 79, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at Pacific Care and Rehab in Aberdeen, Washington.
Gary was born July 22, 1941, to Donovan and Wilma McCullough in Aberdeen.
He was a lifelong resident of the Harbor and a third-generation painter at his family owned company — McCullough Painters. He was a member of the Eagles for 58 years, joining at 21 after having worked on a project for them.
Gary enjoyed all manner of outdoor activities: hunting, fishing, hiking and gardening to name a few. He especially loved going to his cabin in Clearwater with family and friends. He had an extensive wine collection, which he continued to grow by making his own. One of his favorite pastimes was attending the annual Jasper Family Reunion.
Gary is survived by his four sons: William (Julie) McCullough of Arizona, Jim McCullough of Aberdeen, Mike McCullough of Walla Walla and Douglas McCullough of Yakima; two step-daughters: Tracy Meyer of Centralia and Katrina (Kevin) Zollman of Butte, Oregon; brother Jim (Barbara) McCullough of Aberdeen; his grandchildren: Trevor and Hunter McCullough of Mesa, Arizona; Sara Hoiness of Mesa, Arizona; Nolan (Jayme) Hoiness of Bonney Lake, Washington; Courtney Meyer of Centralia, Washington; Parker, Sylvia and Vivian Romero of Butte, Oregon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his longtime girlfriend Connie Chaney who passed in September 2020.
At the request of the family there will be no formal arrangements at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date as Covid restrictions allow.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
