Fredrick Edward Holmeide, 66, McCleary resident and former self-employed sheet rocker, died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at his home in McCleary, Wash.
Fredrick was born on July 30, 1952, in Aberdeen to Edward Elton and Audrey (Christian) Holmeide. He grew up in Aberdeen and Central Park. He graduated from Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School in 1970.
He moved down to Portland for a while before moving to McCleary.
In 1978, Fredrick married Linda Rogers in Oregon City, Ore. They later divorced.
He enjoyed woodworking, collecting antiques and he was an artist.
Fredrick is survived by two sons: Edward Holmeide of Chehalis, Lars Holmeide of Olympia and a step-son, John Hook of Olympia; a brother, William Holmeide of Olympia; four grandchildren: Collin Hook, Alicia Hook, Presley Holmeide and Colten Holmeide.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the McCleary Community Hall. We will be having a potluck meal, so your contributions will be greatly appreciated.
There will be a private inurnment service for Fredrick at a later date in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, Wash.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.
