Frances “Frannie” Elizabeth Brown, 74, passed away on Monday Oct. 18, 2021, in Aberdeen, Washington.
Frannie was born Dec. 6, 1946, to Frank Edward Redington and Vivian Rose Dorning in Aberdeen. She spent a good part of her youth living in Granite Falls, Washington before moving back to the Harbor. She graduated from Montesano High School in 1967, where she met her first husband, Richard Jacobson and they were married until 1987. They raised two kids together.
She did secretarial work for Grays Harbor County and Valentine Realty in the late ’80s and early ’90s, but most of all, she was a happy homemaker and a proud mother.
Frannie met her second husband, Lionel Brown, while attending Grays Harbor College, and they were married in March of 1998. They enjoyed spending time in their RV and with friends, family and their beloved Maine Coon cat named Norman.
Frannie was young at heart and had a way of connecting with people and making them laugh. She was especially gracious and kind to those struggling. She loved to shop, bake and spend time in the kitchen. Her cinnamon rolls and bread were always looked forward to by many at the holidays. She also had a sweet tooth and could often be found with popcorn and a soda!
Frannie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Frannie is survived by her son Steven Jacobson of Cosmopolis; her daughter Susie Jacobson of Montesano; brother John Rishworth of Oregon; two sisters, Marie Bennett of Nevada and Judy Bristow of Oregon; two grandchildren, Cole Bradbury and Carley Bradbury; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Frances will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery along with her late husband Lionel Brown.
Arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
