Fay Lavone Stevens

Fay Lavone Stevens entered heaven to be with the Lord and to be with her husband on Jan. 24, 2021.

Fay Lavone Stevens entered heaven to be with the Lord and to be with her husband, Curtis Stevens, on Jan. 24, 2021. She died in Olympia, Washington, following a fall in her home.

She was born to Claude and Anna Bunch on July 20, 1928, in Dawn, Missouri. She had lived in McCleary most of her adult life and was loved by everyone who knew her. She worked at the state Department of Natural Resources in Thurston County until she retired.

One of the biggest joys in her life, besides her family, was her church family and friends. She attended services at McKenzie Road Baptist Church in Mud Bay for many, many years. She also missed her morning visits with friends when the pandemic took that away.

She leaves behind two sons: Jerry Stevens of Auburn, Washington, and Larry Stevens of McCleary, Washington. She had 12 grandchildren and so many great-grandchildren, all of which she had great love and affection for.

Fay was also very glad to have a caregiver who was also her grandson, Trenten Stevens, and because of that, she was able to stay in her home all of these years.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Funeral Alternatives in Tumwater. No service has been planned yet due to COVID.

We ask that you take a moment to count all of the blessings in your life and to please perform a small act of kindness in Fay’s memory.
