Ernest R. Howard passed away at his home in Port Orchard on Sept. 5, 2018, surrounded by family. He was born July 26, 1944, to George James and Grace Paull Howard.

He married Joyce Sharp in Hoquiam on April 28, 1961.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Darin and George, a daughter, Leslie Howard, and his son-in-law Larry Crouse and a sister, Laura Allison of Aberdeen.

He had worked for Evans Products, Bi-Rite Chrysler Plymouth, Lamb Grays Harbor and retired in 2006 from Nicholson Manufacturing in Seattle.
