Elizabeth Scott passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2022, in Aberdeen, Washington. She was born in Gordon, Nebraska on Nov. 12, 1934, to Hilbert and Evelyn Robins. When she was 10 years old, her family moved to Hoquiam, where she lived the remainder of her life. She graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1951.
On Nov. 29, 1952, Elizabeth married Rodney Scott. They just recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. She worked for the Hoquiam School District for 30 years as a school secretary, starting at Emerson Grade School and then moving to Hoquiam Middle School. She enjoyed traveling, camping and gardening, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Rodney; son, Dale (Susan) Scott; daughters, Sharilyn (David) Everitt and Jody (Dwayne) Hatch; grandchildren: Scotty (Shauna) Stead, Dany (Georgia) Stead, Kelsie Perkinson, Brett (Veronica) Hatch, Andy Scott and Sara Scott; and great-grandchildren: Myalee and Deklynn Stead, Johnathan and Lilly Stead; Cole, Brityn and Carter Perkinson; and Rhylee and Hunter Hatch. She is also survived by three brothers: Ken Robins, Gordon (Lois) Robins and Don (Karen) Robins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anna Whetstone and Ruth Dunn; brothers, Stan Robins and Mike Robins and son-in-law John Stead.
