Eileen Jelovich a long time resident of Aberdeen went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2019, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband Tony, son Ed, and niece Joann. Also waiting to greet Eileen were her brothers Sylvester, Chub, Theo, Emil, Benny, and her sisters Elinor, Marie, Charlotte, and Bea.
Born to William and Rose in South Dakota, Eileen moved to Aberdeen as a young woman where she meet and married Tony. Together they raised four children, Ed (Linda) Jelovich, Cathy (Jim) Torgerson, John (Melody) Jelovich, and Toni (Tammy) Jenkins-Jelovich. Eileen is also survived by her grandchildren Troy, Cayla, Travis, Nikki, Erin, Ashlee, Justin, Seth, Haylle, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Eileen enjoyed volunteering in her community and spent several years helping at the soup kitchen and taking care of the flowers at church. She also loved to garden, attend plays, and travel around the world.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, April 29, 6:30 p.m. at Harrison Family Mortuary. Eileen’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
