Edward Owen Powell passed away on Oct. 4, 2022, at the age of 89 in Wenden, Arizona.

He was born to Dan and Anna Powell and was one of three sons.

He was raised in Grays Harbor and raised his own family there.

He served in the Army and worked in the trades as a welder, bricklayer and a machinist. He worked many years and retired from ITT Rayonier in Hoquiam, Washington.

He built two family homes from the ground up. One home in Aberdeen and the other in Montesano, Washington.

His hobbies were fishing and gardening, later in life becoming a pilot and flying his own plane and lastly he enjoyed restoring antique cars. He restored a 1935 Model A Coupe that he just finished a couple years ago.

Ed left the Harbor after the passing of his first wife — Adeline. After he was remarried he spent time in Spokane, finally settling in Arizona where he built his last and final home.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie and four daughters: Debbie, Elaine, Joyce and Laurie and seven grandchildren.

There will be a private celebration of life ceremony.
