Edward David Coyle died on Feb. 21, 2025 in Aberdeen.

Edward David Coyle — Father, Husband, Builder, Traveler passed away peacefully with his wife of 55 years by his side on Feb. 21, 2025. He was born in November of 1938 in Spokane to John and Audrey (Osborn) Coyle. He emigrated to Hoquiam and graduated in 1957.

He started his career in carpentry shortly thereafter. He created Harbor Mobile Estates in Cosmopolis in the 1970s and the Pour House tavern in the ’80s. After selling the tavern, he started Coyle Construction with his son Ed Jr.

He enjoyed playing golf, including having a hole in one while a member of the Highland Golf Men’s Club. Gardening was also a favorite activity, from a harvestable vegetable garden to decorative plants around the house. He was a member of the Hoquiam Lions Club and volunteered for many of their community projects.

Ed loved to travel and learn about new cultures. Along with his wife they completed journeys to 65 countries and 29 states.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don and Tom and sister Beth Ann.

Survived by his wife Carol, sister Eleanor Miller of New Mexico, his children Ed Jr., Kelly and Matt; grandchildren: Shawna (Bob) Ledesma, Kelsey (Jake) Langston, Elijah (Haley) Molohon and Tori (Zack) Franey, along with five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life at Hoquiam Elks on Saturday, March 22, from 1 to 3 p.m.
