Dorothy Edwards, a former resident of Grays Harbor County who lived in Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Montesano, Washington during the ’80s and ’90s, died in Pasadena, California on October 27, 2023 from cancer. She was born in Monrovia, California on August 17, 1957 and grew up in Hacienda Heights, California with her final home in Pasadena, California.

She worked for Housing Works for the past several years of her life; she was also on the board of CSH (Corporation for Supportive Housing ). She served there as an Advocate, LA Supportive Housing Advocate Program; traveling all over the United States advocating for the homeless.

She is survived by her siblings, Sharon Godinez of La Puente, California; Barbara Peterson of Montesano, Washington; Jeanette Rhodes of Nashville, Tennessee; Sewell Edwards Jr. of Caldwell, Idaho; and Roberta Edwards of Phoenix, Arizona.; and several nieces, cousins and nephews. She was preceded by her father Sewell Edwards Sr.; her mother Eleanor Edwards; her sister Deborah Osborn and her brother Arthur Cotter Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 132 N Euclid Ave., Pasadena, California.
