Doris Mae (Wilder) Vessey of Westport, passed on July 10, 2021. She was born in Montesano on March 9, 1927. She was 94.

Doris was raised at Silvia Lake Power Plant. She was the last Wilder.

She married David Vessey Sr. on Feb. 18, 1955, and raised four children, was a homemaker, a fisherman and a hunter.

She is survived by a son David (Marilyn) Vessey Jr. of Aberdeen; daughters: Connie (Al) Wright of Lynnwood, Terri Hakkola of Star Lake and Barbara Jo Vessey of Westport; five grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

A celebration of her life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Aberdeen Elks.
