On April 24, 2020, DonnaMae Isabel Blume passed away at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation. She was 92. DonnaMae was born April 21, 1928, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Raymond and Jessie Nouska. She attended Aberdeen schools and on Oct. 7, 1945, married the love of her life, Vern A. Blume.

The couple lived in Aberdeen and began raising a family. In August of 1961, as the family grew and needed more space, they purchased a home in Central Park. It was there that DonnaMae would live until her passing.

DonnaMae had many joys in her life. She enjoyed camping, traveling, watching her soap operas, raising her children and watching their families grow. She was always up for a party and would never turn down a ride from almost anyone to almost anywhere. Over the years she took several trips to places such as Yellow Stone Park, Juneau Alaska, Bloomington, Minnesota and even a trip to Las Vegas! She also took many local trips to Ellensburg, Vancouver and Oregon to visit family and friends.

DonnaMae is survived and will be missed by her daughters: Kay Gouyton (Roy) of Juneau, Alaska, Donna Blume, Jessie Carter, Su Blume and Connie Blume all of Aberdeen; her sons: David Blume (Rene), Ray Blume (Laura), Ken Blume and John Blume all of Aberdeen. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, Lois Nouska of Aberdeen and Joan Nouska of Bloomington, Minnesota; son-in-law Ed Pomranky of Aberdeen as well as 34 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

DonnaMae was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Blume Sr., father, Raymond Nouska, mother, Jessie Nouska, brothers John Nouska and Orville Nouska, sons Vern Blume Jr. and Daniel Blume, daughter, Karen Pomranky and son-in-law Allen Carter.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Any donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
