Donald Eugene Borden, age 60, of Elma, Wash., was called to the big fishing hole in the sky on Feb. 27, 2018. He was born on Dec. 7, 1957, to Donald Earl Borden and Donneta June (Pyle) Borden. He attended school in Elma, Wash. and was also raised in White Star, Wash. as a small child.

Donald made a career of logging and loved all things involved with doing so. He passed on his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren. He was the most loving grandfather a kid could have asked for and his five grandbabies were his whole life, You should have seen him smile when he saw them, it could have lit up the skies. He spent may days on the lake with his children and grandchildren and if anyone gets the chance to do something in his honor please take the time to grab the ones you love the most and put a bobber in the water. Remember that tomorrow is never promised so spend the time today, make the memories, give the hugs and kisses and make the phone calls and tell them you love them.

He is survived by his mother Donneta J. Borden; brother Darrell (Shelly) Borden, Donnetta (Kevin) Borden Oremus; children Danielle M. Borden, Shannon A. Borden and Douglas E. Borden; grandchildren Ayden Shires, Arlie Borden, Axton Lohman, Bethany Borden and Kannon Borden; significant other of 27+ years Barbara DeFlyer; and also by numerous extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald Earl Borden.

A memorial in his honor will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 12 noon at the Elma Grange Hall in Elma, Wash.
