Donald Delbert Dunn Sr. passed away at his Central Park home on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016.

Donald Delbert Dunn Sr. passed away at his Central Park home on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. He was 95. Don was born on June 12, 1921, to Charles and Laura (Cochran) Dunn in Falls City, Neb.

Once Don graduated from Hamlin High School, he married Edwina Goldia Coulter and joined the Army Air Corps that June of 1942. He served as a Radio Operator with Army Air Corps while overseas.

Prior to graduation and his military career, Don worked for his father in Reserve, Kan. where he transported grain to Topeka, Kan. In 1945 Don moved to the Grays Harbor area and started work at Harbor Plywood as a cleanup person and retired as a superintendent at Evans Products. He was employed there for 39 years.

Don was an outdoors man. He loved to fish, hunt, go camping, garden and visit garage sales. He was also a rock hound, taking special interest in the unique rocks he came across. His interests included electronics, mechanics, carpentry and genealogy.

Don is survived by his children Donald D. Dunn Jr. (Diana), Roger P. Dunn (Christine), and Janet L. Dunn Wilbur. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his good friend Mark Chamberlain.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Edwina G. Dunn; brother Robert P. Dunn; and sister Betty Alma L. Dunn.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Central Park Fire Fighters Association.
