Donald Churchill, 92, passed away on Thursday Aug 12, 2021, in Aberdeen, Washington.

Don was born on Dec. 2, 1928, in Yankton, South Dakota to Guy and Mabel Churchill.

He loved the outdoors, was a lifelong educator and a successful coach for track and country. He greatly enjoyed the beauty of Montana where he spent most of his life.

Don attended college in Billings, Montana but halted his studies for four years to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later he resumed his education.

While in France Don met Joan Wain in 1953 and married her in 1954.

For 15 years he enjoyed every summer working at Yellowstone Park. He later taught at Aberdeen High School while getting his master’s degree. Don found meaning, purpose and understanding in his faith as a Jehovah’s Witness.

Donald is survived by his wife: Joan Churchill of Cosmopolis, Washington and his nephew David Churchill of Montana.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
