Dolores (Dee) Sagen Maestas of Raymond, Washington peacefully passed away at the age of 93 on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the Willapa Harbor Care Center.

Dolores (Dee) Sagen Maestas of Raymond, Washington peacefully passed away at the age of 93 on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the Willapa Harbor Care Center. Dolores was born on April 21, 1926, in Sioux City Falls, Iowa to Charles and Sena Hamner.

Dolores married Abel Robert Sagen in 1944 in Spokane and they had five boys together, Robert, William, Paul, Mark and Russell. They moved to Raymond in 1951, where they had Pay-Rite Sagen’s Drug. Dolores had an interest in music and played the organ for the Methodist and Episcopal churches in Raymond and led the Jr. Choir in the Methodist Church. She was also involved with the “Raymond Little Theatre Group” which performed plays/musicals and worked with the Raymond Library specializing in historical events of the area. She was an incredible woman with many talents and raising 5 boys was not an easy task. They sold the drugstore to oldest son, Robert, and moved to Montesano in 1967.

Later she married Nick Zvono who passed away in 1983 with cancer. She spent most of her retired years as a snowbird and lived between Arizona and Westport on John’s River with her love, John Maestas. They traveled all over and enjoyed their happy hours with friends. She loved to bowl, golf and play cards. John Maestas became ill and passed in April of 2014.

Dee is survived by four sons: Robert (Anita) Sagen of Chehalis, Paul (Lolita) Sagen of Port Angeles, Mark Sagen of Montesano and Russell Sagen of Aberdeen. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Vernon and Lyle Hamner and her son, William Sagen.

At this time, there will be no service. Arrangements are in care of Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen, Washington.
