Diane Elaine Christensen, 56, a Cosmopolis resident and homemaker, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, Washington.

Diane Elaine Christensen, 56, a Cosmopolis resident and homemaker, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, Washington.

Diane was born on Dec. 24, 1963, in Seattle to Dale Harshman and Geraldine Lucille (Pete) Giles. She grew up in Montesano and graduated from Montesano High School in 1982. She attended Grays Harbor College for two years and then transferred to Eastern Washington University, where she attained a bachelor’s degree in technical writing. She returned to Montesano where she went to work for the Grays Harbor County Assessor’s Office as a deputy dssessor for 13 years. She later went to work for Miller’s Smith & Losli Sheet Metal.

On Sept. 12, 1987, Diane married David A. Christensen at the Montesano Presbyterian Church. He resides at the family home in Cosmopolis.

Diane loved reading, growing roses, watching the Mariners and loved the Seahawks. Her favorite baseball pitcher was Mark Borcherding of the Grays Harbor Gulls.

Diane is survived by her husband of 32 years, David A. Christensen; son, Corey Giles Veh Christensen of Cosmopolis; sister, Denyce (Lonnie) Yount of Olympia, Washington and nephew, Chandler Yount of Olympia.

She enjoyed a special relationship with Dave and Darlene Miller of Summit Lake.
