Derrick James Brown passed away on July 14, 2023. Derrick was born on July 9, 1984 to Ricky David Brown and Kjersti Ann Johnson in Aberdeen, Washington. Derrick was raised in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen High School along with Grays Harbor Community College.

Derrick was a part of the Twin Dragons Coju-Jiu Jitsu. He loved riding dirtbikes, skateboarding, being outside, adventuring, being with family and friends, and helping heal others.

Derrick was preceded in death by his father Ricky Brown and nephew Devon. He is survived by his mother, Kjersti Ann Miller of Black Diamond, Washington; brother Joseph (Erin) Wayne Brown of Aberdeen, Washington; sister Brandi Nicole Elizabeth Miller of Humboldt, California; Jennifer Marie Miller of Black Diamond, Washington and Elisha Voynow of Hoquiam, Washington; grandparents Peggy Coonse of Aberdeen, Washington; Roy Luxton of Aberdeen, Washington, and Jack (Natalie and Kyle) Johnson of Hoquiam, Washington; uncles Wayne Brown of Aberdeen, Washington; Jerry Brown of Grays Harbor and Gene Brown of Aberdeen, Washington; aunts LouJean O’Brien of Aberdeen, Washington; Jennifer Callas, and Tara (Eric) Eide; great-aunt Mary Wood of Aberdeen, Washington; nieces and nephews Jayde, Dominik, Angela, Aiden, Kaliyah, Ocktober and Waylen; great-niece Alexia; cousins Suzi and Grace; special friends Jennie Lynn and Rebecca Flickinger; and many more special friends and loved ones.
