Denver Berton Scott of Aberdeen passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 91. Denver was born March 3, 1926, in Watsonville, Calif. to Everett and Hope Scott.
He was raised in Watsonville and graduated from Watsonville High School. On Sept. 16, 1943, Denver enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served overseas during WWII. Denver was very proud of being a WWII veteran.
He had worked for Meadow Gold Creamery in Watsonville, Calif. as a milk pasteurizer for 40 years.
Denver was a proud member of the VFW and charter member of the World War II memorial committee.
Denver is survived by his two loving daughters Sandra L. Guilford and Freda J. Bratton both of Aberdeen; brother Monte Scott of San Jose, Calif. five grandchildren Micheal Guilford, Leah Guilford-Elenes, Ryan Bratton, Grant Bratton and Reaunna Bratton and four great-grandchildren Zoey, C.C., R.J. and Hunter Bratton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hellen and his two sisters Dee Mosegaard and Muriel Orr.
At his request there will be no services. He will be placed with his wife Helen at the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park in Watsonville, Calif.
