Delores Mae Anderson peacefully passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Delores Mae Anderson, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Washington. She was 81 years old. Dodie was born on Oct. 3, 1939, to Ray and Margaret DeHart in Grandview, Washington.

Grays Harbor is where Dodie has called home most of her life. At 16 years old, she met the love of her life, Edward Anderson, and they later married in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1955. Together they started a family and bought a house in Hoquiam, Washington.

Dodie and Ed opened their own business, A&A Trucking, where she worked in the office as the co-owner of the family company until her retirement.

Dodie was a very outgoing person. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and family when they would come to visit. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In the spring you could always find her out in her garden planting flowers. She also had a passion for decorating and fashion, and enjoying taking special getaways with her husband Ed.

Dodie is survived by her daughter Pam (Ron) Grant, daughter-in-law Christie Anderson, siblings: Arnold DeHart, Patricia Brown and Bobbie Krause; grandchildren: Jason Anderson, Shannon (Joe) German, Geoffery (Karen) Anderson, Kelce (Johnny) Boggs, Tiffany Shoemake and Nicole Hinton; great-grandchildren: Kyla German, Noelle Anderson, Brylee Boggs, Devon and Ethan Shoemake, and Camden and Isaiah Hinton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Margaret DeHart, husband Edward Anderson and son Bryan Anderson.
