Delores Elizabeth Stevens passed away on December 19th, 2023. Delores, known as Elizabeth by most, was born on September 8th, 1944, to Chester Roy and Naomi Julia (Neely) Park in Hermiston, Oregon. Elizabeth was raised in Rathdrum, Idaho, and attended Lakeland High School graduating Salutatorian Class of 1962. She furthered her education at the University of Bridgeport receiving her Bachelor’s in Mathematics in 1968 and then in 1988 received an M.S. in Computer Science at Eastern Washington University.
While receiving her degrees, Elizabeth worked as a seamstress, tutor, teacher, secretary, and mother. After graduating with her Master’s, she went on to work as a software engineer for Hewlett Packard retiring in 2007. She moved to the Grays Harbor area in 2010. Elizabeth was part of a community choir while living in Rathdrum. She enjoyed aviation, horseback riding, swimming, walking dogs, researching family history, quilting, and sewing.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Naomi Park; brother Chester A. Park; and sisters Helen M. Willard and Kathryn A. Holt. She is survived by her sons Ryan Stevens of Mountain View, California, and Mac Stevens of Newport, Oregon; brothers Daniel M. Park of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Douglas M. Park of Rathdrum, Idaho cousin Terri L. Gardner of Hermiston, Oregon; and 2 grandchildren.
Two services will be held — 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Rathdrum Outreach Center, 15468 N McCartney St Rathdrum, Idaho 83858. And noon Sunday, September 8, 2024, at King Tide Restaurant, 300 E Dock Street, Westport, Washington 98595.
