Debbie (Johnson) Carlin passed away January 17, 2023, in Olympia, Wash. She was born October 3, 1956, to John and Dorothy (Ramberg) Johnson in Seattle, Wash. Debbie resided in Tumwater, Wash. for 25 years.

She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1974, attended Yakima Junior College, and obtained a Knapp College travel degree. She served in the U.S. Navy from October 31, 1974, to December 31, 1977.

Debbie married Rich Carlin on August 26, 1989, in Capitol Gardens. She worked as a travel agent for Cruise Center for four years before moving on to work for Washington State Dept. of Revenue and then L&I; she retired after 20 years with the state. Debbie loved to travel (especially cruises) and going to UW football games. She also loved her two Westie dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Rich Carlin; and siblings, Rick Johnson of Hoquiam, Wash. and Sandy Ralls (Red) of Surprise, Ariz. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, John Johnson and Darlene McDonnell; and many nieces and nephews.
