Douglas Samples Sr., Eric Gardiner, Christopher Hennings

Douglas R. Samples Sr.

Former Grays Harbor resident Douglas Ray Samples Sr. died Sunday, May 21, 2023. He was 89.

He had worked at the Aloha Saw Mill, had been the caregiver of Aberdeen’s Natatorium and retired as head of custodial services at Grays Harbor College.

Viewing will occur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater, followed by his burial at the Masonic Cemetery in Elma at 1:45 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Evergreen Christian Center in Olympia with a reception to follow.

Eric W. Gardiner

Eric Wayne Gardiner of Hoquiam, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his home in Hoquiam. He was 48.

He owned and operated Quality Cabling and recently accepted a position as assistant football coach in the Wishkah School District.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced later.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Christopher J. Hennings

Former Grays Harbor resident Christopher James Hennings died Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Titusville, Pennsylvania. He was 22.
