Kenneth A. Abel

A celebration of life for Kenneth Allen Abel, who died Dec. 25, 2022, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Hoquiam Elks.

Carl C. Westlund

Carl Christopher Westlund of Ocean Shores died Friday, March 10, 2023, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 62.

Carl had owned and operated Dust Buster Janitorial Service in Ocean Shores.

A memorial service was held Sunday, March 19, at the Ocean Shores Methodist Church

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Carol A. McCoy

Ocean Shores resident Carol Ann McCoy died Thursday, March 16, 2023 at home. She was 77.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

LaVanda J. Gilpin

Hoquiam resident LaVanda Joyce Gilpin died Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 79.

She had worked at mom and pop groceries in Elma and McCleary, and as a server at Granny’s Kitchen and at the Burger House.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the Apostolic Wells of Living Water in Satsop.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Michael C. Bishop

Michael Casey Bishop, age 30, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died Monday, March 13, 2023, in Aberdeen.

A celebration of life and potluck will be held in conjunction with his grandmother’s (Barbra Bishop) service at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the Humptulips Grange.

Arrangements are by Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

John E. Gilroy

John Edward Gilroy, a longtime resident of Neilton, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home in Neilton. He was 93.

He had owned shake mills in the Neilton area as well as being the longtime pastor of Quinault Valley Chapel in Neilton.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Quinault Valley Church. Interment will be at the Lake Quinault Cemetery with a reception following at the Quinault Valley Chapel.
