Oran ‘Sonny’ Johnson

Oran “Sonny” G. Johnson, an 82-year-old resident of Aberdeen, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at home.

Viewing will take place today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. A service will follow at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hoquiam.

Brian T. Strada

Cosmopolis resident Brian Thomas Strada, greens keeper for Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at his home in Cosi. He was 54.

Services are in the planning stage and details will follow later.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Marty L. Ayres

Marty Lee Ayres, 59, of Aberdeen, died at home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Sharon Madison

Aberdeen resident Sharon K. Madison died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at home.

She had worked at Grays Harbor in the 1980s and ’90s.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Satsop Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Kim Madison

Kim E. Madison, a longtime resident of the Harbor, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Swedish Hospital, Cherry Hill Campus in Seattle. He was 64.

He had previously worked as a sawyer for various shake mills and for Hometown Sanitation.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced in a later edition of The Daily World.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Vicky R. Highland

Hoquiam resident Vicky Ray Highland died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 60.

There will be a private interment at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.
