Gene Stopsen

BOISE, Idaho — Montesano resident Gene Ronald Stopsen died Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He was 75.

He will be laid to rest at Fern Hill Cemetery with military honors. A celebration of his life is being planned and will be announced when details become available. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

ELMA — Claude D Hollis Jr., a 94-year-old resident of Elma, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.

Janell V. Wedekind

MONTESANO — Janell Valdeen Wedekind of Montesano died at home Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021. She was 86.

Hoquiam resident Kevin M. Walker died Wednesday, Oct. 20 2021, at home. He was 53.
