Westport resident Donald Melvin Bisher, a construction laborer, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, in Aberdeen. He was 59.

MONTESANO — Richard Dennis Jacobson died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at his Montesano home. He was 75.

Former Grays Harbor resident Harlan E. Thompson of Cedar Park, Texas, died Sept. 18, 2021. He was 76.
He had been the manager at the Aberdeen Safeway, and had owned and operated Mary’s Corner Market.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Calvary Chapel in Centralia.

PUYALLUP —Patricia Louise Bieniek, a longtime resident of East Hoquiam, died on Sept. 22, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. She was 83.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at St. John’s Cemetery in the Wishkah Valley.

Jacob M. Floch
Jacob M. Floch of Aberdeen died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, in Aberdeen. He was 42.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

Herman R. Woods
SEATTLE — Herman Ryals Woods, an East Hoquiam resident, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He was 76.
In 1968, after his discharge from the U.S. Army, he came to Hoquiam. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill, retiring in 2005 after 38 years.
There will be a private urn committal service with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Bonnie Bell Gosser, a home care specialist, died at her home in Aberdeen on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021. She was 81.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Shelton Memorial Park.

OLYMPIA — Svetlana N. Cherskaia of McCleary died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia. She was 81.

SOUTH BEND — James L. Batman died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. He was 77.
A celebration of his life will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Raymond. Masks are required.
