George E. Collett

TACOMA — Former Montesano resident George Ernest Collett of Tacoma died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. He was 81.

He had owned businesses in sand and gravel, construction, home building, lumber sales, real estate; and mobile phone sales and repair.

A graveside service is being planned for noon Friday, Feb. 19, at the Satsop Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary.

Charlie R. Jones

TACOMA — Charlie Ralph Jones of Aberdeen, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Multicare Tacoma General Hospital. He was 87.

From 1956 to 1958, he served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, he returned to the Harbor and worked for Rayonier for 31 years as a cat skinner. Later he worked security for several years before working at Dave’s Gun Shop as a gunsmith.

The family suggests that contributions be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or plant a tree in memory of Charlie R Jones.

Visitation will be at the Coleman Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17. An urn committal service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.

Carrie A. Rose

Carrie Ann Rose died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 42.

She had worked as a server/waitress at various restaurants on the Harbor including the Salmon House Restaurant and Lake Quinault Lodge in Quinault; and Bridges and Billy’s in Aberdeen.

Memorial donations can be sent to the Lake Quinault Fire Department, Grays Harbor Fire District 4, P.O. Bx 23, Amanda Park, WA 98526.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no service at this time.

Roxanne L. Slover

Roxanne Lyn Slover, 64-year-old resident of Aberdeen, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
