Olga Hindman

Olga Hindman, 97, longtime Aberdeen resident and former office manager at Crown Distributing in Aberdeen, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam. She was 97.

There will be a time of visitation and viewing from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, in Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Dixie Valentine

Dixie L. Valentine of Aberdeen died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Katy’s Adult Family Home in Lacey. She was 83.

Services are being planned.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Montesano.

Edith F. Thurston

OLYMPIA — Edith Florence Mary Thurston of Cosmopolis died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 80.

Services are being planned and will be announced as soon as details become available.

Dale Scheelke

OLYMPIA — Dale Scheelke of Hoquiam died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 73.

Arrangements are pending through Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen.

Sidney W. Glessner

OLYMPIA — Sidney William Glessner of Copalis Beach died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 90.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at New Beginnings Open Bible Fellowship in Aberdeen.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen.

Dixie L. Valentine

LACEY — Dixie Lee Valentine of Elma died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2016, in Lacey. She was 83.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Friday followed by a funeral service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Elma. A graveside service will follow at Masonic Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary in Montesano.

Shirley A. Aschim

Aberdeen resident Shirley Ann Aschim died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, in Aberdeen, Washington. She was 84.

She was a grocery clerk at Stewart’s Grocery in Aberdeen, a mail carrier with the Montesano Post Office for many years and drove bus for the Grays Harbor Transit.
