Garland “Eugene” Cable

OLYMPIA — South Bend resident Garland “Eugene” Cable died Thursday May 29, 2018, in Olympia. He was 73.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as an operating engineer of heavy equipment for Lakeside Industries and other companies.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday June 16, at Grace Community Church in South Bend followed by a reception with food in the Fellowship Hall next door.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
