Hoquiam resident Richard Coe died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 77.

Arrangements are by Funeral Alternatives of Washington.

Linda C. (Brown) Pirtilla-Nielsen

Former Cosmopolis resident Linda Charlene (Brown) Pirtilla-Nielsen died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in Olympia. She was 81.

David ‘Happy Hour’ Gardiner

Hoquiam resident David C. “Happy Hour” Gardiner, age 76, a resident of Hoquiam, died on December 20, 2023, at Harbor Regional Hospital in Aberdeen.

He began driving log truck for such companies as Jackson Brothers, Byron Brothers, Papac, Rabey Trucking, Whiting Trucking and Stott Logging. He also drove dump truck for Northwest Rock.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Hoquiam VFW, 707 – 7th Street, Hoquiam, Washington.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
