Robert C. Olsen

Robert Christopher Olsen of Montesano died Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Sequoia Assisted Living Community in Olympia. He was 95.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.

Virginia A. Munger

Virginia Ann Munger, age 80, a resident of Hoquiam, died on May 11, 2024, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam.

She had worked as a caregiver.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Donald R. Moore

Hoquiam resident Donald R. Moore died Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 90.

He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955. He had worked for Rayonier, Inc. and Milwaukee Land Company in Forks as a timber cruiser and land surveyor and later served as a forester for the city of Hoquiam.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Hoquiam Senior Center. A private urn committal will be held at the Forks Cemetery.

Mary. E. Morrissey

Former longtime Elma resident Mary Elizabeth Morrissey of Lacey died Monday, May 27, 2024, at home. She was 92.

Arrangements are by Funeral Alternatives of Washington in Lacey.

Kay W. Filyaw

Kay Willis Filyaw, a longtime resident of Hoquiam, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation in Aberdeen. She was 91.

She retired in 1994 after 40 years of service with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Hoquiam.

Memorials are suggested to any Grays Harbor Relay for Life team. At her request there will be no service. Arrangements were by Coleman Mortuary.
