An open house memorial service in honor of Pastor Dean Harris will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Harbor Praise Center, 801 W. Wishkah St. in Aberdeen.

Mr. Harris had been a manager at Safeway for 17 years, developed the Human Services Department at Grays Harbor College and served as director of Evergreen Counseling in Hoquiam.

He died April 20, 2020, at the age of 93 from a chronic military-service-related injury.

Everyone is invited to the open house. Food will be provided and parking will be available in the large lot across the street from the church.
