David Samuel Jones Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. David was born on Nov. 6, 1946, to David Samuel Jones Sr. and Norma Hill in Raymond, Washington. David was raised in Raymond, graduated from Raymond High School, and later attended Grays Harbor College to further his education. David drove log trucks for many companies in Grays Harbor over the years. He loved goose hunting, hunting in general and fishing.

David is survived by his long-time companion Ella Mae Harnden; daughters Dawn Jones, Angela Atkins and Lynnette Allison, all of Grays Harbor; brothers Jonathan Jones of Spokane, Washington and Charlie Jones of Kentucky; sister Chicky of Boise, Idaho; two granddaughters Kimmy and Braylie and three great-granddaughters.

There will be a potluck style celebration of life held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge.
