David C. “Davie” Ross Jr.

David C. “Davie” Ross Jr., 55, died unexpectedly in Grayland, Washington, Friday, May 8, 2020. He was a resident of South Bend, Washington and had lived in the South Beach area for many years.

Davie was born in Seattle, Washington Sept. 18, 1964, the son of David C. Sr. and Billy J. (Parker) Ross. The family had lived in Mountlake Terrace and came to Westport in 1975. Davie graduated in 1982 from Ocosta High School where he played football and excelled in weightlifting.

He worked in Renton, Washington for several years and later moved back to Westport and worked at the Westport Shipyards. Because of health reasons, he worked doing automotive repairs and other odd jobs until his death last week. He had lived in South Bend for the last five years.

He enjoyed spending time with his dog on the beach and collecting rocks.

Davie is survived by his mother, Billy J. Ross, of South Bend; a son, Austin E. Ross of Wapello, Iowa; a sister, Nickie and husband Nick Roberson of Lacey and two grandchildren. A son, Dustin K. Ross died before him in 2015.
