Conrad Mitchell Holuk, age 72, passed away on Aug. 4, 2020, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. He was born to Mitchell Alexander Holuk and Julia Tenerowicz Holuk on Sept. 12, 1947, in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
Conrad has lived in Cherry Point, North Carolina, University of Massachusetts, Radcliff University, Virginia, Davenport, Iowa, Spokane, Washington, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Tacoma, Washington, Graham, Washington, Yelm, Washington, Myrtle Creek Oregon, Shelton, Washington, and Montesano, Washington, where he has lived for the last 26 years.
Conrad graduated high school in Ludlow. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University Of Massachusetts in May of 1973 and his master’s in August of 1974. He was a corporal in the USMC and a Vietnam veteran. He married Jeanette Voelker on Aug. 22, 2004, at St David’s Episcopal Church in Shelton.
Conrad was Director for Special Services, school psychologist for Mason County. His hobbies included guns, classic cars, coins, dogs, horses and all of God’s creatures as well as being an arborist. Conrad was a member of the Episcopal Church, the NRA and SASS.
Conrad is survived by his wife, Jeanette Holuk, his step-daughter, Pamela C. James and son-in-law Forrest Whiteside, two grandchildren, Julie and Evan Whiteside and his sister Mary Ann Magee and her husband Rich, nephew Mark and niece Kim of Edgerton, Wisconsin and brothers-in-laws Gary and Terry Voelker of Texas.
Conrad had a lot of love to share. He always had a twinkle in his eyes and words of wisdom from our holy Father. Memorial donations can be sent to Disabled Veterans 47 Klicks.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday Aug. 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the family farm located at 732 Satsop Road West in Montesano.
